Connecting to OpenVPN to gain access to Office Desktop or SACS Remotely

1. Double click   OpenVPN GUI icon. This will launch the application and create a little icon in the shape of computer screen and the lock on your task bar.

 

 

2. Right click and go to HACFM VPN then Connect on the

 

 

2.  You will see the request for username and password, which will be the login credentials you use when with you office PC which also happen to be you email login as well.  When you see this login using your full email address and password and click connect.

 

3. After clicking connect, the program will show the connection window with a log and the icon on the task bar will become green. When the VPN is connected, log window will disappear and icon will turn green.  Note:  If icon is not green, you are not connected.

 

 

 

4. Once connected you  can now open Remote Desktop Connection and connect to your office PC or in the case of remote users at SWV< CSS, Horizons, RPT and Bonair, you will connect directly to SACS. 

Note: 
- You
MUSTbe already connected to the Internet  before you can successfully connect to OpenVPN

- You MUST be connected to the OpenVPN before you can connect to your  desktop or SACS 

 

 

IMPORTANT: 

1. MAKE SURE YOU LOG OUT OF SACS AND OR DISCONNECT FROM REMOTE DESKTOP AND THE VPN DAILY TO AVOID HANGING LOGINS . 

2. DO NOT SHUT DOWN YOUR OFFICE PC OR PUT IT IN SLEEP MODE OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO LOG BACK IN.
